AOSW Professional Recognition Awards
ONCOLOGY SOCIAL WORKERS ARE SPECIAL PEOPLE! HELPING PATIENTS, FAMILIES, COLLEAGUES AND COMMUNITIES
We need your help to identify three very special oncology social workers to be recognized at the Annual Conference! AOSW presents three national awards every year, each sponsored by a National Organization. The three awards are the Oncology Social Worker of the Year, Leadership in Oncology Social Work, and the Neuro-Oncology Social Worker of the Year. The recipients receive a monetary award and a special plaque at the Awards Luncheon at the conference. To read about previous recipients, click here.
As president-elect of AOSW it is my honor to chair the committee that reviews the nominations for two of these awards and forwards nominations for the Neuro-Oncology Social Worker to the National Brain Tumor Foundation. Please take time to think about a colleague, a mentor and even yourself and nominate someone who meets the criteria presented below. All materials will be available this year for submitting applications online and only electronic submissions will be accepted! Submission deadline for all award nominations was January 25, 2008. Submissions are now closed.
